does it have tv out?
how many microphones?
Is this coming to the UK? I’d soon have this than its cheaper counter part… Glaxay S
The keyboard makes me NOT want this thing.
@JerridPayne Me too. But Sprints plan is cheaper than T mobile, which is where I want to get the Vibrant. So I have to settle with this one. But I agree, I DO NOT want a key board!
@dragonballdave unfortunately not, we are stuck with the Galaxy S, and the 4 major US networks have their own versions, limited to their networks. Although it is more or less the same phone, i agree i would prefer this, IMO is a nicer looking phone.
@CH0Rigi question is why then get a 2ghz CPU at the end of the year (potentially) if you can wait and get something even quicker, the growing issue with mobiles that has been adherent in PCs for a long time, is when does it end? at the end of the day no matter what phone you get and when, there will always be something quicker etc round the corner. I mean with the lag fix going around and one presumes with Froyo 2.2,the phone will be stupidly quick anyway, how fast do you really need a phone2b?
@creativekams 1) yes it does
2) the bottom dock should be customizable, regardless of the network they all run the same UI, i believe its the physical design that differs
3) I believe the GPS is throughout all phones, though is/will be fixable
4) identical tbh
@UFBvoodoochild
1) no. it does not have fm radio just like captivate and vibrant. which is confirmed.
2) dock cannot be customized. The UI is not same on EPIC. It has TouchWiz 2.5 (confirmed). Homescreen add/remove, dock customization, fm, music player are all missing. EPIC has a very basic music player and no equalizer as seen on vibrant.
3) GPS fix on EPIC is not confirmed. It may have the bug. May get fixed next month.
4) not sure which is better yet. still waiting for the verdict.
Will this phone or any Samsung Galaxy S phone for that matter get Android 3.0 Aka Gingerbread?
I want this but the price is like …WOW !
@UFBvoodoochild I’m actually gutted, it looks better, is better and has the simpliest of things i.e a flash for the camera!!!
Whats the resolution?
@creativekams Actually the GPS is comfirmed to have no issues like the Captivate and the Vibrant. The other things you listed i don’t know if its true but i rather have a keyboard then features i won’t use.
@SladeNoctis
yes. the GPS thing is kinda fixed. i tried both evo and epic from the same location. evo gets the fix instantaneously but epic took a while to get the fix but it got it anyway. GPS fix may be required for epic coz it took a lot of time to get that fix. i had almost given up.
Hey androidandme.I was wondering which phone do u think has a better camera.The evo or the epic?And do u think its worth upgrading to the epic from an evo
OK, one this is the replacement for the moment, so stop saying the intercept was, thats a totally different type of android phone. And 2, is this phone made by google as well?
DID U JUST SAID “16 GB MICRO SD CARD”!!!!!!!!!!!
the one coming to tmobile does it have a keyboard 2
my phone specs just has to have 1ghz processor and keyboard and large screen
ok so just got my epic today and tried installing it to my comp [pc windows vista] and it didnt work? it said to insert the CD it came with but i didnt get one?? so im guessing i have to go bak to the store? is there way around it?? its charging but cant transfr files u kno??
