Android 4.0 ICS FaceUnlock ported to iOS – Demo not available in AppStore

This is a beta iOS port of the face unlocking feature added in Android 4.0 ICS. As you can see the response time is not as good as Google’s but I’m working on making it faster. This is a demo and it is not available in the AppStore. Developer: Robert Neagu

    @oneHellvalley oh, sorry, carry on.

p.s. I think that companys should listen more to their customers or form an alliance with the underground dev scene. If not, then at least we’ll know these people will grow up to do a better job than the current official developers. I realized this when Sony took ideas from psp mod community.

smartphone companys steal ideas from eachother all the times, I dont get what everyone is always arguing about.

Wtf the iphone is not worthy … they should keep siri and we should have everything else… this is so not original

  9. MrSkinnyBill says:

You would need to make it a lot quicker… and how can you put this on the App Store? I didn’t think Apps can access things like the lock screen?

Dude stop stealing this thing from android and start to invent ur own thing. Iphone is so lame with there unsuccessful siri…..Android ROCKS!!!

  11. rzZZ77 says:

And why do you want to be sued by Google?

  12. crxforum says:

If someone you know steals your phone they can just grab your face off a picture on facebook or something to unlock it to access your stuff.

  13. lilarnation says:

They should bfor something that involves blinking to confirm ur not just a picture

@rzZz77 why would Google sue? They are currently using technology similar to what apple started. Only fair to be honest. Also, on the android market search up Espier Launcher and see why they cannot start suing anyone just yet ;)

  16. iReece2k11 says:

@lilarnation that’s the same with androids face unlock also. It is something that cannot be overcome easily. Maybe it will be implemented, but there is also the pin unlock as well as this.

@oneHellvalley dude the toggle alone in ICS copied for iOS already, and this is just an apps, not every really going to use that face unlock, time wasting and battery wasting, it is nothing but just for fun. if you wanna talk about copycat? Apple create the first handhold touchscreen PDA in the world long way before android, so? who is the copycat?

  20. oneHellvalley says:

@shdxc Well, the newton may have been the first touchscreen “PDA”. IBM created the the first touchscreen smartphone. So, in the end, apple is still the copycat. Good try though little guy.
