Radiohead – Paranoid Android
Full uncensored version of the first single from “OK COMPUTER” (1997). Director: Magnus Carlsson Swedish creator of the animated series Robin (of which the band were fans) was commissioned to make a music video. This version can be found on Radiohead’s DVD “7 Television Commercials”. The name was derived from Marvin, a manically depressed robot, in Douglas Adam’s “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”. Despite its length of over six minutes, making it the longest released Radiohead song, it was the first single from that album in 1997. The song’s release marked the start of Radiohead’s reputation as art rock innovators, and the album subsequently received huge acclaim. Although the single did not receive much radio play due to its length, MTV immediately put the video in high rotation. However, the version most often shown on television was edited. Thom Yorke was not happy about this: “The video of ‘Paranoid Android’ has been censored by MTV. They took all nipples out of the cartoon, but they had no problem with the scene in which Boris Yeltsin cuts off his own arms and legs.”

Take a close look at the guys at the table in the bar. Look familiar?
@vdoza33
My guess is that they needed his vote for something important and he let them down…
its dappy!
@metemi
That’s supposed to be Boris Yeltsin? Or did they mean, as just a general representation..
wired and love it….
God, this song haunts me…
Happiness is a Warm Gun
@GuitarGuru757 didnt notice its radiohead
Isnt my fav kind of song, but man this crazy video rulessssss !
were the guys at the table in the bar animated versions of radiohead?
Yes, they were.
awesome video, great song
those mermaids are hot
Wish they’d put out a new album already! RH is my favorite band!
this clip reminds me of animated tv show i used to watch as a kid….does anybody know which show i am talking about?
radio head…. great band… and this song cool
Very underrated album to me. I get irked when “critics” used to and some still do rag on Thom’s appearance and voice. The fact is they are a unique creative talented group. Creep may lyrically be one of the best introspective songs that I’ve ever heard.
Man, I can’t stomach Radiohead – sure they are creative, but I think it’s just painful to listen to.
Hey guys I am a huge deadhead but also like radiohead, and other jammy experimental stuff. Anyways there is a radiohead music vid and it shows a computer animated figure falling to the depths of a city underwater, I cannot think of the song for the life of me. Its kinda slow if I remember correctly, rather dream like. I know this is a bad description but I am searching for it, any help would be great.
BeeryGamer, the series was called Robin.
Weiliiiiii, I think the song you are refering to is ” Pyramid Song. “
was great to see the vidi again – strange as it is still meshes perfect with the song some how
@metemi what about the mermaids?
wow i cant listen to this singer
“Please confirm you are 18 years of age”
Wow, now even music has an age limit… what the fuck is happening to this world.
