okay so my husband was going swimming with the kids, and his samsung cell phone was in his bathing suit pocket..it was at the bottom of 9 feet for about 15 minutes or so…and now it wont stop vibrating, when i open it up te keypad is lit up but the screen is not. is it safe to press power? right now it is soaking in dry rice, but will that work? if not, how can i help it? can it be fixed, or is it time 4 a new one?

The Cricket CAPTR is a basic entry level “clam-shell” style cell phone exclusively for Cricket Wireless. This mobile is about as simple as they come. However, sometimes simple is good. As I mention the advantage to “Clam-Shell” style cell phones is they are more durable than candy-bar style phones. You don’t have to worry about locking/unlocking them and if they drop from your hands usually they will be okay. It works just fine as a cell phone. It gets just about as good service as our Samsung Messager II got. The speaker phone was loud and clear. One disadvantage is the phone does not feature a full sized keyboard which means texting must be done using traditional “Slow” input or “t9″ predictable text input. This might be a deal-breaker for the big “texters” & “e-mailers” out there. For bonus features it has bluetooth, which is somewhat rare on entry level clam-shell phones. It also has a 1.3megapixel camera which is pretty worthless for the most part. You can take very basic pictures and picture msg them to your friends. CAPTR also features a front facing LCD that tells you time/date/battery life indicator/voicemail & text indicator. Overall, if you can spare the extra cash you might consider upgrading. Visit Cricket : bit.ly Review of the Samsung u340 for Cricket Wireless. The Samsung u340 (refurb) is Cricket Wireless entry level flip phone. It’s a very basic phone with extremely basic functionality. It is sold as a refurbished handset and it’s typically Cricket’s most affordable phone. As we’ve noted in previous reviews a flip phone is great for protection. You won’t pocket dial your friends with this phone. You also don’t need to worry about locking the front keypad etc. Anyhow as a basic phone it works decently well. The speakerphone doesn’t get very loud. The phonebook is simple and easy to use. For text messaging you have to press one key at a time or input using T9 predictive text. The front facing camera is virtually unusable with such a low resolution however, you might be able to send the occasional MMS to your friend using it. They might not know what the heck you sent them a picture of. But, hey you can still do it. Anyhow, if all you need is a basic phone then this might be for you. Full uncensored version of the first single from “OK COMPUTER” (1997). Director: Magnus Carlsson Swedish creator of the animated series Robin (of which the band were fans) was commissioned to make a music video. This version can be found on Radiohead’s DVD “7 Television Commercials”. The name was derived from Marvin, a manically depressed robot, in Douglas Adam’s “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”. Despite its length of over six minutes, making it the longest released Radiohead song, it was the first single from that album in 1997. The song’s release marked the start of Radiohead’s reputation as art rock innovators, and the album subsequently received huge acclaim. Although the single did not receive much radio play due to its length, MTV immediately put the video in high rotation. However, the version most often shown on television was edited. Thom Yorke was not happy about this: “The video of ‘Paranoid Android’ has been censored by MTV. They took all nipples out of the cartoon, but they had no problem with the scene in which Boris Yeltsin cuts off his own arms and legs.”
