Eric Day has just released a new tweak that will put Siri dictation on your iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, or iPod Touch 4G. This doesn’t mean you can just install it and ask Siri about the weather, no this is just strictly dictation. So if you are driving or doing something where you can’t type, you can press the Siri button and dictate what you want it to type. It works really well, some of the things still need to be tweaked but you should get your Siri-fix. You can pick up this semi-Siri port from the iF0rce repo below for free, remember to refresh Cydia and search for ‘Siri0us’ iF0rce Repo: Somebody mentioned the developer took the repo down. Ok so ive seen these white apps a few times (adsheet, field test, ios diagnostic and setup). the one that intriques me the most is the setup app (takes you to the end activation screen to right before it activates in wifi selection and then goes to the option to use or not use siri just like on a 4S). I get these apps on my phone once or twice after a restore and never see them again. I installed an installous app then these apps appeared, even the sb settings app which I had hidden already. I have also gotten these apps after installing something random from cydia as well. it doesn’t seem to actually affect anything on my phone, but I just wanted to show this just to see if any of you have seen this before. comment, rate, subscribe follow me on twitter: @6italia0

Yes thats right this is the tutorial for the FULL SIRI PORT for iPhone 4. This port will get you the full GUI with voice recognition. The only downside is that the server that the 4S uses does not support the iPhone 4 so it will always say “I am having trouble connecting to the network”. Here is a link to the written tutorial for this port with download links for the updated private frameworks: www.ijailbreak.com This port only works for 3GS, iPod touch 4G and iPhone 4 jailbroken on 5.0 and 5.0.1 you will need two repos from cydia to complete this port: cydia.xsellize.com/ – install ifile from here cydia.zchristopoulos.com – install siriN1ght from here On your computer you will need the latest iphone explorer – google search after you have completed the port, respring your device and then reboot (boot as tethered unless you have an old bootrom 3gs) Now you should have the option to enable/disable siri in your settings (enable it) now that the port is finished follow these steps to change the siri server file: open cydia. • download iFile • go to…. “Var/mobile/library/preferences/com.apple.assistant” • and change it from (HTTPS) to (HTTP) & SAVE IT. • then go open SIRI by holding down the home button. • it should LISTEN, and LOAD, but not answer your questions yet You are now finished, siri is now fully ported to your device and no longer def, just retarded (no working server found). A quick video to show the difference in speed between the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4. Just to clarify a few points. I do not claim this to be in any way a scientific test. I did try to hit the screens at the same time, most are pretty accurate. The iPhone shown is a 3 month old Apple referb. Both phones had just been installed with iOS5 (reformat) and rebooted. The clips are edited to remove the footage of me closing the apps. Each app launch was made with no other apps running. Both phones are connected to the same wireless network. There are tons of phrases and they are spoken at random. – Dragging the characters will make them say a whole new set of phrases. – Tapping on Yuki too many times or pinching the screen with two fingers will cause the app to enter ‘Disappearance Mode’. In this mode, all the characters will speak a whole new set of phrases. – To change the mode back, either assemble the entire SOS Dan in the clubroom and activate the Escape Program or simply pinch the screen again. The ‘SOS団マスコット’ app is available on the Japanese App store for 800 yen. If you are planning on getting this, do NOT get the individual mascot characters which cost 350 yen. For 800 yen, you can get all 5 of them + some unique features.
